How do I use kwn.me?
In order to use kwn.me all you need is a browser, we have tested the site across all major browsers, as well as on the iPod and Mobile Browsers, it works on all. All you need to do is input a link into the box on the main page and hit "shorten" or enter.Expecting more steps? Sorry to disappoint :)
I've been emailed a spam link! Help?
We hate spam! We will never send you spam emails, and if you receive a link in your email to any site which is trying to sell you a product, or solicit private details from you, please please please, report it via our easy to use contact form - We review each complaint individually and actively remove links which are against our Acceptable Use Policykwn.me is not responsible for any misuse of the service provided.
Going to the main site is a hassle, any quicker ways?
We have an easy to use bookmarklet, you can simply drag this bookmarklet into your bookmarks toolbar, and click it on any site (other than this one) for easier shortening.
I want to shorten URL's from IRC!
We currently have a sonicbot plugin generously written by the author of sonicbot which is freely available.Simply drop the following kwnme.py into your /sonicbot/plugins/ directory, and use ;kwnme shorten http://url.com (where ; is your trigger).
I wanna use kwn.me with twitter!
Currently we only support TweetDeck, in order to add kwn.me to your TweetDeck Application, please do the following;Tweetdeck > Settings > Services > Choose "Other" from the dropdown menu, and enter "http://kwn.me/t.php?process=1&url=%@" into the input box.
